Mrs. Tina Durham

Hello! My name is Tina Durham.   I am the Speech Pathologist at Dade Middle.  I also work at Davis Elementary.  I have been teaching for 32 years and I live in Trenton, GA. After graduating from Section High School, I attended Northeast Alabama Community College for two years. After graduating with an Associate’s Degree in Science, I pursued Elementary Education at Athens State University.  It was at Athens State that I earned my Bachelor’s in Elementary/Early Childhood.  Elementary education was a very popular field at that time.  I was unable to find a job in this field.  I was offered a position as a speech teacher and I accepted it.  I researched constantly on what to do with students with a speech impairment.  I discovered that it fascinated me.  I looked into obtaining certification in the field of speech.  After taking several classes, I obtained my certification in speech pathology.  I went on to seek my Master’s in Speech Pathology.

I am married to Frederick Durham.  He is currently a supervisor in a hospital. We have been married for four years. I have two dogs. Ritzy is a golden retriever and Toby is an Australian Shepherd.  I love spending time with my family, friends, reading, and traveling.
