Playing teacher as a young child is one of her earliest memories, and Mrs. Michelle Doane-Beeler has spent her career continuing her favorite activity. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama, but has spent most of her life in Georgia. She is married to Mike Beeler. Mike is an ordained minister who has spent much of his career in youth ministry. He serves as the youth pastor at Rising Fawn Baptist Church and teaches mechatronics at Dade High School. He is also a swim coach who won Coach of the Year Boys 3A in 2019. They have five adult children who live in Florida, Virginia, Illinois, and Georgia. They have one granddaughter and a grandson on the way.
Mrs. Doane-Beeler earned her bachelor's degree at the University of Georgia, her master's degree at Berry College, and her specialist's degree at Lincoln Memorial. Her areas of study are English Language Arts, reading, social studies, and educational leadership. She has served as a teacher with Griffin Spalding County Schools and with Calhoun City Schools. She was named Teacher of the Year and Calhoun District Teacher of the Year in 2007. She came to Dade County two days before COVID shut all schools down throughout the globe. She has 32 years of experience in education.
Mrs. Doane-Beeler is active in church and community. She enjoys reading, painting, going to junk/thrift stores, performing in community theater, traveling, gardening, reading, and writing. Above all, she loves learning!
